Happy New
Year from Zepp Wellness!
2012
~
This January saw the seven-year anniversary of Naturopathic Medical
practice for me in Regina. It has been an incredible seven years,
filled with so much learning and opportunity! Through this time I
have experienced working within the multi-disciplinary clinic space
of my old clinic, Regina Rehab and Family Medical Clinic, where I
established invaluable relationships with medical doctors and other
amazing health professionals. I have since been working at the
Wellness Centre on College Avenue and have thoroughly enjoyed the
chance to work more closely with a team of fellow Naturopathic
Doctors. The opportunity to bounce ideas off of one another and
discuss cases has been incredibly fulfilling.
Personally I have gotten married and had a daughter and built and
moved into a new house in these seven years. We’ve had some tough,
challenging periods too, with some setbacks and losses along the
way, rounding out the richness of this life experience – with
darkness comes light and vice versa.Another blessings is on the
horizon for us again– as we are expecting our second child in early
April. Though one never knows what the Universe has in store for
us, as I learned when my daughter Madelyn(due July 16, 2009) arrived
6.5 weeks early on May 31st that year!, my plan as of now
is to work through until March 16th2012and be “on
call” until the baby is born. Then once again I will be taking some
time away from my practice.
I am ever so grateful to have a
wonderful woman,Dr Laura Stark ND, fill in for me in my time
away with my wee one. I plan to be off fully for 5 months,
returning in September 2012 to a very part-time schedule of 8 to 10
hours per week and gradually increasing my hours in the ensuing
months. Thankfully Laura plans to remain in Regina and in our
Clinic into the future. She will assist with the care of my
patients in my absence and will also begin to build her own practice
at the same time. She and I have very similar practice styles, with
a focus on mental and emotional well-being as primary components of
our physical health. Please visit her website
www.LauraStarkND.com
for more information on Laura and her practice style. She is
currently working in Carp, Ontario and plans to return to Regina
late March and will begin practice in my office at the Wellness
Centre as of April 1st, 2012.Appointments
can be booked with Laura through the clinic (306) 757-HEAL.
Please stay tuned to
my website in the upcoming months for news on my pregnancy and
further plans or changes to these plans during my maternity leave.
I look forward to
continuing to serve patients for many years to come!
Each day is such a
rich experience for me, and I am ever grateful to have a job that I
love so much that allows me to meet and get to know so many amazing
people.
Gratitude marks the
way in which I have chosen to live each day of this New Year. There
is always so much to be grateful for – not only the “good”
experiences that life has to offer – but also the ones we might
label as “bad” as these have so much to teach us. It is through our
trials and tribulations and from our mistakes and failures that we
learn and grow the most. May this year be filled with many
opportunities for you to experience gratitude!
