New Practice Location –
2120 College Avenue
As many of you are now aware, I have been back at work on a
part-time basis after a 5 month maternity leave since November 1,
2009. As of December 1st, 2009 I have no longer been
practicing out of the Regina Rehab and Family Medical Clinic on
Rochdale Blvd. After
one month shy of five years at Regina Rehab it was with many mixed
emotions that I decided to move my practice. I will deeply miss the
wonderful practitioners that I have had the honor and pleasure with
working with over the years. I will miss the dedicated staff and
the unique clinic environment I was a part of. I am forever
grateful to clinic owner, Warren Barry RMT, for opening such a
healing space and inviting me to join the team.
My practice goals
have shifted since donning the Mommy-hat and I am no longer drawn to
be a part of a busy clinical setting. I am choosing to slow my
pace, increase my focus on family and pediatric medicine and move to
a setting that is quieter, closer to home and more “kid friendly” as
I do hope to have my little sidekick with me at work from time to
time.
As of December
2009 I joined the crew at
Still Point Wellness Center. Initially I planned to use this as
Phase 1 of a move that would see me opening a new location in the
spring of 2010, however this too has changed direction. Knowing the
incredible effects that stress and overwhelm have on the body – and
having made the conscious decision to reduce stress in my life
wherever possible – I have decided not to move again at this time.
Opening my own clinic remains a goal that I will meet in this
lifetime though I recognize that now, with one small child and
hopefully another one day, is not the time to do so.
It is my hope
that although my new space is very different from my old space (my
new room at the back of an old house, accessible through a maze of
hallways and a walk through a kitchen is in considerable contrast to
my office in a busy professional medical clinic) you will find the
environment private, serene and healing.
Appointments will
be booked through the wonderful receptionists at this new
location on College Avenue and patients will be able to pick up
any supplements to fill their prescriptions from me there.
Online booking
will also be available at a later date.
I understand that
with a move from full to part time practice it may become more
difficult to get an appointment with me so I ask that you please
honor your appointment time by keeping your appointment or ensuring
you give adequate notice if the need arises to cancel so that we can
fill the spot in a timely manner. Our
cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
Email consultations are also available at regular hourly rates.
I would like to
thank all of my dedicated patients for your patience in awaiting my
return to practice and I look forward to working with you all
towards health and vitality for you and your families!
