A New Arrival!
Spring 2012 ~

It’s official! – my maternity leave has begun! In the early morning hours of April 5th, 2012 my husband, daughter and I welcomed a new addition to our family.

Shea Robert Rutledge, my beautiful son, joined us for his earthly journey. A little more patient than my daughter who was born 6 and a half weeks early, Shea waited 3 days past his “guess date”. Though when he decided he was ready – he was really ready! Born less than 2 hours after contractions started, this little guy was in a hurry. Seven pounds, 13 ounces of joy!

Knowing these early days, weeks and months are so precious to this little being’s development – I will be stepping away from my Naturopathic practice for at least five months to be with my two children.

I am ever so grateful to have a wonderful woman, Dr Laura Stark ND, fill in for me in my time away with my wee one. I plan to be off fully for 5 months, returning in September 2012 to a very part-time schedule of 8 to 10 hours per week and gradually increasing my hours in the ensuing months. Thankfully Laura plans to remain in Regina and in our Clinic into the future. She will assist with the care of my patients in my absence and will also begin to build her own practice at the same time. She and I have very similar practice styles, with a focus on mental and emotional well-being as primary components of our physical health.

Please visit her website www.LauraStarkND.com for more information on Laura and her practice style.
Appointments can be booked with Laura through the clinic (306) 757-HEAL.

Please stay tuned to my website in the upcoming months for further plans or potential changes to these plans during my maternity leave.

I look forward to continuing to serve patients for many years to come!

Each day is such a rich experience for me, and I am ever grateful to have a job that I love so much that allows me to meet and get to know so many amazing people.
